Myofascia Breathing – November 6 & 7 from 10am to 1pm

Fascia (connective tissue) refers to the collagen web that surrounds, supports, and connects all of our bodily systems,

from our bones to our vessels, passing by each of our organs and muscle bundles;

a connective web through which our toes inform our skull.

In a healthy terrain, the fascia network is absorbent and resilient.

When experiencing physical trauma or inflammatory patterns,

the fascia loses its pliability and hardens,

and when it hardens it inhibits physiologic (nerves/blood/lymph)

and energetic circulations which will impact our well being and health.

The art of releasing the fascia is to call back fluidity and circulation

into the connective tissue so that it can support our suppleness and comfort,

maintain our graceful posture, and enlarge our range of motion and resiliency.

The myofascia is an aspect of the connective tissue network which

meanders around and within all the muscles, from bundles to fibers,

from macro to micro, containing and supporting each muscle cell (myosin),

and creating a semi-fluidic matrix interconnecting

all individual muscles into one continuous bed of relation.

This network is our organ and structure of motion, enabling us to evolve

as an intelligent and sentient unit.

Understanding and experiencing motion by integrating the intelligence of

the myofascia network allows our bodily expression to be

harmonious as well as it supports energy flow and physiological balance.

It also helps us to improve multi-joint stability and strength.

Myofascia Breathing is experiential research on the deep lengthening

and energizing of the myofascial matrix developed by Louise Chardon.

In Myofascia Breathing we cultivate resiliency and openness

by releasing blockages and tensions

throughout the semi-fluidic connective matrix within us.

Nurtured by breath and clear attention, we deepen our endurance,

experience effortless motion, and enrich our connected flow.

Myofascia Breathing is a restorative set of breath-full lengthening

and motions practiced with Shibari ropes.

The rope is a fantastic tool to tune into the subtle lines of connections within our bodily tissues,

enabling us to listen sensitively within and harmonize our connectivity.

With subtle intelligence attention, we deepen our perception of the internal

motions and learn to balance the tensegrity within us.

By awakening our presence to our myofascial matrix,

we can better understand our injuries or movement limitations

and rewrite ourselves into a more resilient, integrated, integrative body,

and life/practice experience.

Addressed to whom:

… encounters health issues related to the myo-fascial-neural network

… wishes to increase respectfully his/her flexibility

… wishes to evolve with grace and resiliency

… wishes to enrich & renew his/her bodily knowledge

… wishes to refine his/her embodied perception

After a long and intense professional career as a dancer and performer,

Louise Chardon (Lou) develops further her life path through

somatic practices enhancing spiritual growth and self-inquiry.

For more than 30 years, she dedicates herself to the study of being (in) motion.

She specialized in listening to the profound sensitivity of the self and how our subconscious manifests into our embodied nature.

She mainly applies her researches to her visual and performative art and shares it through her pedagogic and therapeutic approaches

which she defines as Embodied Philosophy & Energetic Physiology.

Louise is a certified Body-Mind Centering® Practitioner.

She embodies Chi Kung, Tuina, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Feldenkrais,

Alexander Technique, Authentic Movement and Yoga for more than 20 years.
